What is Microbiology?

Microorganisms are found in animals and plants as well as humans, continue to exist intensively in our environment, although we do not see them most of the time. Microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi are almost a part of our daily lives. It is present everywhere we are, as well as in our body. It is named according to the department that microbiology examines: clinical microbiology, food microbiology, industrial microbiology, and veterinary microbiology.

What is done in Microbiology Laboratories?

In microbiology, swabs taken from blood, urine, stool, the throat, and infected areas are generally examined. In addition, the discharge and tissue pieces taken from the places where the disease symptoms are seen, or the medical materials are used to detect the bacteria that cause the infection.
