There are a variety of reasons for hair loss, the most common being androgenetic alopecia, a genetic condition, for both male and female pattern hair loss. With male pattern hair loss, a defined bald spot, such as a receding hairline or a balding spot in the back of the head is observed. With female pattern hair loss, the loss is observed throughout the entire scalp, instead of just in a localized area. Thus, women experience an overall thinning of hair density.

How to get my hair back?

The permanent, sophisticated and cost-effective solution to both male and female baldness hair transplant. This popular procedure is performed by removing hair follicles from the donor area, which are then transplanted into the balding or thinning areas (recipient area). Hair transplant is also applicable on eyelashes, eyebrows, beard, chest hair and to cover scars caused by accidents or previous hair transplants.

Hair Transplant Techniques

There are two main types of hair restoration procedures used in our clinic, which are SAPPHIRE FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation).

SAPPHIRE FUE

SAPPHIRE FUE is an advanced, non-surgical and minimally invasive hair restoration technique that neither leaves linear scarring nor requires stitches. This technology allows follicles to be removed from the donor area  using a micromotor and transplanted to the recipient area thru the channels opened using precision medical forceps.

DHI

Individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area using a specially designed disposable tool with a diameter of 1mm or less. These follicles are then transplanted directly into the recipient area without prior formation of holes or cuts, using the DHI Implanter.

Am I a good candidate for hair transplant operation?

Hair transplant can improve your appearance as well as your self-confidence. Men and women above the age of 22 can qualify for this hair restoration procedure. It is of great significance to understand that all hair transplant techniques use your existing, natural hair. Grafts containing hair follicles (such as those found in the back of the head) are genetically resistant to balding and this procedure aims to locate the most efficient grafts to be transplanted to bald areas.  People with thin hair should be informed that it may not be advisable for them to undergo hair transplant surgery.

Top 5 Hair Transplant FAQs

Does it hurt?

People tend to experience little to no discomfort during the actual procedure. The medical advancements in pain management techniques ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for the individual undergoing hair transplant procedure.

How do I get prepared for this procedure?

One month prior to your hair transplant procedure, discontinue using all hair treatments that may cause increased blood flow to the scalp. One week prior to the procedure, discontinue smoking and using nicotine products, consumption of alcohol and energy drinks, as well as blood thinners.

How soon can I return to work?

The typical length of rest period after a hair transplant procedure is between one and three days. Strenuous activity, including working out, should be avoided for at least the first couple of weeks after the procedure to ensure you get the best results possible, so if your job requires any strenuous activity, more recovery time may be required before you return.

How natural are the results?

Today’s hair transplant techniques are highly advanced. The key to a natural result is tailoring the procedure to the hair type and needs of the individual. Hair follicles need to be carefully placed to match the angle and pattern of existing hair.

Are the results permanent?

The results are permanent for the rest of your life. This is because the hair in the back area of the head (the donor area) is resistant to the DHT hormone that most commonly causes hair loss in other areas of the scalp.

Eye Brow Transplant

Eyebrows have the important role of framing the face, and with eyebrow transplant, grafts taken from the donor area will allow for a fuller, more luscious look.

Eyebrow transplant is a cosmetic procedure that is very similar to traditional hair transplant in principle. During eyebrow transplant, healthy hair grafts are meticulously and professionally harvested from the donor area (usually from around the ears) and transplanted to the brow area. A natural result can only be achieved by angling each hair graft specifically.

Recovery

Eyebrow transplant is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia and usually takes 1-3 hours depending on the number of grafts used. Slight bruising and swelling may be experienced for up to 5 days post-procedure. You will be able to return to work approximately 3 days post-procedure. Within a few weeks, almost all transplanted hair will fall out and your permanent hair will eventually start growing. Final results can be achieved in 1 year.

Beard Transplant

Beard transplant is a surgical procedure of transplanting hair follicles to the beard area with no hair, or where hair growth is weak and a fuller look is desired. This procedure is usually performed on beard, chin and moustache areas. It is the preferred option for men who wish to
•    Have a fuller and thicker beard
•    Reshape their facial hair to camouflage scars
•    Present a well-groomed appearance.

Final results can be achieved in 12-15 months.

SUPPORTIVE TREATMENTS

Ozone Therapy

Ozone therapy is a safe and effective treatment method used in various healthcare practices, especially in recent years.  In this treatment method, the patient’s blood is withdrawn, supplemented with ozone and injected back to the patient. The process takes approximately 15 minutes and helps improve body functions by increasing the oxygen level in the blood. Hair transplant with ozone therapy will decrease recuperation duration and increase the patient’s comfort as well as the success of the hair transplant procedure. During the procedure, ozone levels at the transplant area will rise, helping hair follicles grow stronger in less time.

Stem Cell

Liquid rich in stem cell is prepared using the patient’s fat tissue and injected to the donor area during organic hair transplant. Stem cell supported technique allows hair transplant procedure to be easier and more comfortable on both the patient and the practitioner. Stem cells attach to the newly transferred hair follicles and increase their adherence rate, providing up to 96% successful hair transplant results. Thus, stem cell assisted organic hair transplantation technique is widely preferred and applied.
